The conference is designed to sharpen participants’ judging skills, deepen their understanding of Holstein cattle evaluation, and promote consistency in the show ring.

The Holstein Association USA Judges Conference aims to establish a trusted network of qualified judges for shows of all sizes. To remain on the National or Approved Judges List, judges must participate in a judges conference and submit a judges list application every five years.

Jan/Feb OHN 2025 Published

The 2025 January/February Ohio Holstein News has been mailed and will be in your hands soon! This issue is our All-Ohio Focus, and features write-ups about the farms on the self guided breeder tour as part of the District 7 hosted Ohio Holstein Convention and Annual Meeting in Wooster, Ohio.

The tours are on Friday, March 7, from 10 a.m – 5 p.m. before the Convention Sale.

**UPDATE** – The Ohio Holstein Assocation office will be open for convention goers to stop in between 3-5 p.m. at 1375 Heyl Road, Wooster, OH

  • 9 a.m. – 4-H / FFA Judging Contest (Coliseum)
  • 11 a.m. – Buckeye Dairy Club Sale (Location TBD)
  • 5 p.m. – All Breeds Showmanship (Coliseum)
    • Peewee Show will start the showmanship event, with Junior – Intermediate – Senior heats following. All ages will run at the same time
  • ADA-Mideast Sponsored Supper for all exhibitors                                                         

Thursday, March 27, 2025 – All breed shows in Cooper Arena

  • 8 a.m. – Jersey Show (Heifers – Cows)
  • 12 p.m. – Brown Swiss Show (Heifers – Cows)
  • 12 p.m. – Ayrshire Show (Heifers – Cows)
  • 4 p.m. – Guernsey Show (Heifers – Cows)
  • 4 p.m. – Milking Shorthorn Show (Heifers – Cows)
