The National Junior Holstein Association is excited to offer an Extemporaneous Speaking Contest for the first time in 2024. Open to our senior division members, this contest will make its debut during the National Holstein Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah 🎉🐄
Each state has the chance to send three talented contestants to showcase their skills. Participants will select from three dairy or Holstein-related topics, have 30 minutes for preparation, and then deliver a 4-6 minute speech, followed by a Q&A session with the judges. 🌟🗣️

The Ohio Holstein Convention and Annual Meeting was held at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham in Lima, Ohio. District 12 did a great job hosting the event on March 8-9!
More details and pictures from the weekend will be in the March / April issue of the Ohio Holstein News, but in the meantime – enjoy some of these pictures from the weekend! Thank you to all the farm tour stops for their hospitality and for Ty and Heather Etgen, Dallas Rynd, Judy Wolford and the entire convention committee for planning a great event that brought in breeders from all over the state for a time of fellowship.
The Ohio Holstein Convention – Annual Meeting – Awards Banquet will be held in District 12 on March 8-9, 2024. The convention headquarters are at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham in Lima, Ohio.

The 2024 Ohio Holstein Convention Virtual Sale catalog is live to view and study!
The sale will be at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham in Lima, Ohio on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Join us in person for fun, fellowship, heavy hors d’oeuvres, bidding and buying! There will be live entertainment following the sale!
Genomics, IVF sessions, choices, show heifers, and several tremendous embryo sets are all included in this sale. Take a look for your favorite lots to invest in and add to the genetics in your herd!
A committee reviewed the Ohio Holstein Association Constitution and By-Laws and submitted their suggestions for changes or updates to the wording in the document to reflect current times. The Board of Directors passed the revisions at their December 2023 board meeting and the Ohio Holstein Association Membership will vote on the revisions at the Annual Meeting on March 9, 2024 in Lima, Ohio.
