The Ohio Convention Sale, will be March 3 in St. Clairsville, Ohio (District 3). Consignments need to be turned in to Daniel Brandt by February 13.
We will again aim for about 30 lots, with approximately 10 genomic lots and 20-25 type themed lots. Daniel and the sale committee would like the OH members to be willing to give something off the top of their herds that would sell well.
Selection goals will include.
5 high type choices
5 high type embryo lots
5 show-age calves
5 special fresh cows or springers
2 group truckload lots of reg. fresh heifers/cows
5-8 high genomic calves (above, or close to +3000GTPI if younger; if they are yearlings can be 2900G+)
3-5 genomic embryo lots (PA = 3000+GTPI)
Daniel plans to be in Ohio for selections the last week of January. If you would like him to stop at your farm or have any suggestions for stops, please contact him or a member of the sale committee!
